Capuchino Mustangs Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Capuchino Mustangs Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-0 loss to Valley Christian on Thursday. Valley Christian scored on a triple by Emilie Boncher and a stolen base by Boncher in the first inning.

The Capuchino Mustangs Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Valley Christian, giving up 11 runs.

Valley Christian got on the board in the first inning when Boncher tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

A single by Grace Rofii in the first inning was a positive for Capuchino Mustangs Varsity.
Mia Iacomini took the win for Valley Christian. She lasted three innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Alina Sanchez threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Nohemi Livingston took the loss for Capuchino Mustangs Varsity. She allowed nine hits and five runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one.

Alexandra Lapiz, Rofii, Selah Romero, and Alexis Centeno each managed one hit to lead Capuchino Mustangs Varsity.

Valley Christian collected 14 hits on the day. Lauren Fulton, Jacqueline Lemus, Tauhja Williams, Kiley Cunningham, and Olivia Brown all collected multiple hits for Valley Christian. Valley Christian didn’t commit a single error in the field. Lemus had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
