Capuchino Mustangs Varsity Can’t Hold Up Against Saint Francis
Capuchino Mustangs Varsity had a tough time generating runs on Friday, dropping their game with Saint Francis 12-0.
A single by Gabriella Gonzalez in the second inning was a positive for Capuchino Mustangs Varsity.
Jordan Schuring got the win for Saint Francis. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out nine and walking zero. Lauren Baker threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Isabel Real took the loss for Capuchino Mustangs Varsity. She allowed ten hits and seven runs over four and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Saint Francis socked four home runs on the day. Sophia Roth put one out in the fourth inning. Hailey Prahm went for the long ball in the fifth inning. Jessica Oakland had a homer in the third inning. Sydney Stewart had a long ball in the fourth inning.
Gonzalez went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Capuchino Mustangs Varsity in hits. Capuchino Mustangs Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Bailey O’Mahony had the most chances in the field with four.
Saint Francis racked up 14 hits on the day. Prahm, Hannah Damore, Lyndzey Allard, and Oakland all managed multiple hits for Saint Francis. Prahm led Saint Francis with three hits in three at bats.
