Capuchino Mustangs Varsity defeated Archbishop Riordan 12-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ryan Lapuyade induced a fly out from I DeVaynes to finish off the game. Capuchino Mustangs Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Nick Balch drove in two when Balch doubled.

Capuchino Mustangs Varsity scored five runs in the second inning. Capuchino Mustangs Varsity’s big inning was driven by walks by Timothy Jang and Ryan Lordier, an error on a ball put in play by Ryan Choi and Balch, and a triple by Nicholas Gomez. Conor Meehan pitched Capuchino Mustangs Varsity to victory. Meehan lasted six innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out 12 and walking one. Lapuyade threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Capuchino Mustangs Varsity scattered 12 hits in the game. Mario Duran, Balch, and Gomez all had multiple hits for Capuchino Mustangs Varsity. Duran went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Capuchino Mustangs Varsity in hits.
