Girls Varsity Golf · Girls Golf Continues Strong Play With Sweep Of Sequoia

The lady Mustangs continued their great play this season with two wins this week improving their team record to 4-1 by beating Sequoia on Tuesday  220 to 235 on Sequoia home course Mariner’s Point and came back with impressive win Thursday 231-263 on Capuchino home course Fleming in San Francisco.   Leading the squad is two upperclassmen senior’s Emily Vesil and Nia Pascual.   A strong Junior class lead by Sarah Muldowney, Joelle Fong, Kendell Bloat and Valentina Valentine paired with an equally gifted group of sophomores Ava Cordero, Sarah Hoyer and Simone Snukst  have seen the Mustangs get off to fast start in league!

Coach’s Quote:

“Emily Vesil and Ava Cordero have been impressive scoring low each round-Emily Vesil was low medalist with 36  at Mariner’s vs. Sequoia  and then followed that with 39 at Fleming vs. Sequoia  and Ava Cordero was low medalist 38 at Fleming vs. Sequoia  and second with nice round of 40 vs. Sequoia.  Both players hit the ball well and have a mind and skill to score low for us it’s a big advantage having them on same team”   Coach Ruiz has been excited with the play of Sarah Muldowney, Nia Pascual and Simone Snukst these girls all do a little bit of everything good-Hit there drives, Chip and Putt and score in the low forty’s giving us options out on the course”
