Multiple Teams · Capuchino Stays unbeaten at home with 33 point fourth quarter!

San Bruno, Ca. –

Despite facing team foul trouble and being down by 12 points in the early stages of the fourth quarter the Mustangs rallied to win 82-75 versus Pioneer high of San Jose. Both teams came out firing baskets all over the gym early in the game and seemed to be headed for a fantastic finish which for the fans became a reality once AJ Macaraeg hit a deep 3 point shot in the corner to give the Mustangs a lead they would never give up. AJ Macaraeg finished with 23 points and his senior back court running mate Marquez Mozeke chipped in with 21 points to help Capuchino to its season high 82 points. This game had many contributors Raynaz Halim played outstanding on both ends of the floor scoring 13 points and making key steals thoughout. Trey Zahursky, Abe Masophere, Ryan Chapman, Brian Grealish and Jared Rogge all played with heart and passion and continue to help Capuchino get ready for PAL league play in the coming weeks.

Next up for the Mustangs is the Tri-City Christian tournament in San Diego – Capuchino open play with Holy Martyrs from Encino who are currently undefeated with 10-0 record. The Mustangs will get to play four games versus Southern Section teams and show off some Northern Section firepower.

Closing out the pre-season the Mustangs will take on Alhambra from the North Coast Section on Jan 4, 2017 in Martinez and then open PAL league play versus Woodside High on Jan 11, 2017 at Capuchino High.
